Biography
Dr Govindan Raghuraman, or Raghu as he is affectionately known as, is an experienced and highly qualified clinician in anaesthesia and intensive care. He has been a consultant since 2002; dually accredited in both specialties. Has worked in three international healthcare systems (India, UK and USA) and has excellent adaptable skills to tailor to facilitate best possible care for patients. He is technically skilled to undertake complex anaesthetic interventions including awake intubations, vascular access and ultrasound guided nerve blocks and regional anaesthesia techniques.
Dr Raghuraman is a pleasant, patient friendly and excellent team player who always places patients at the centre whilst making complex decisions. He possesses excellent communication skills, and quickly establishes a strong rapport and trust with both patients and peers. He has an unblemished record with the licensing body and a highly positive multisource feedback from peers and patients.
He is currently an executive director within the National Health Service, with 15 years of experience in clinical leadership and management. His special interest subject matter makes him an expert in system redesigns, medical workforce planning.
