Biography
Dr Gerwyn Rees is a Consultant Anaesthetist who qualified at the University Aberdeen in 1996. He has been a Consultant at the University Hospital Birmingham since 2009 and specialises in Burns, Plastics , Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. He was the Clinical Service Lead for Theatres for 8 years from 2011-2019. His interests include regional anaesthesia , developing clinical patient pathways and has been integral to implementing the WHO checklist in his NHS Trust.
At home he is married with three sons and an amazingly patient wife. He enjoys road and mountain biking in his spare time and is also a competent skier.
